World Health Organisation (WHO ) welcomes ‘encouraging news’ on vaccines.
(Alles Europa News)- The head of the WHO stressed that his agency had found that countries that have followed the measures recommended by the UN agency – namely to detect, isolate, quarantine and treat the sick – are doing better.
“No excuse for inaction”
“It is a dangerous virus. Countries which let the virus circulate freely are playing with fire,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. “There is no excuse for inaction.
My message is very clear: act quickly, act now, act decisively”, he hammered, denouncing any “laissez-faire”.
“The fastest way to open up economies is to beat the virus,” he said.
