From engineer to “Miss Universe”: This was the path of Andrea Meza
[Alles Europa News] ; This Sunday, May 16, the 69th edition of the “Miss Universe” pageant was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida, with the Mexican Andrea Meza who was crowned the winner.
Andrea Meza’s path to “Miss Universe”
The representative from Mexico was Andrea Meza, a 26-year-old girl from Chihuahua.
A states which is located in northwestern Mexico, and is bordered by the states of Sonora to the west, Sinaloa to the southwest, Durango to the south, and Coahuila to the east.
She is 1.82 m tall and knew since she was little that she wanted to do something that would impact the world.
Andrea studied Software Engineering at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua.
Currently, she is a tourism ambassador for her state, and as part of this work, Andrea campaigns against gender violence.
In November of last year she received the title of “Mexican Universal”, in the middle of a media war of declarations between her predecessor Sofía Aragón and Lupita Jones.
In addition to a series of accusations against Jones for mistreating former contestants of the beauty pageant.
Despite this, Andrea managed to stand out in the contest, becoming the winner and chosen to represent Mexico in “Miss Universe”.
It should be noted that it is not the first time that she has participated in a contest of this magnitude, since in 2017 she represented Mexico in “Miss World”, managing to obtain second place and the title of “Miss World America”
